Dr. Robert Skarperud, N.D., M.S.
Naturopathic Physician
Dr. Skarperud is a licensed Naturopathic Physician practicing at the oldest naturopathic medical clinic in Central Oregon, the Blue Star Clinic in Bend. He graduated from Bastyr University School of Naturopathic Medicine in Seattle, WA, in 2004. Additionally, he earned a Masters of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Tufts University School of Nutrition Science and Policy in Boston, Massachussetts, in 1998. His Bachelors of Science degree in Zoology is from the University of Washington in Seattle. “When not at the clinic, I want to spend my time with my family. Some of my other interests include skiing, boating, fishing and camping.” Dr. Skarperud is in general practice for people of all ages. He utilizes clinical nutrition, customized herbal medicines, homeopathy, pharmaceutical prescription medicines, physical therapy techniques, diagnostic testing and imaging, counseling, preventive medicine, IV micronutrient therapy, and minor surgical procedures.

Dr. Laurie Grisez, N.D.
Naturopathic Primary Care Physician
Dr. Grisez is a naturopathic physician practicing primary care at the Blue Star Naturopathic Clinic. She graduated from Bastyr University School of Naturopathic Medicine in Seattle, WA in 2004. Prior to naturopathic medical school she was employed with the Deschutes County Health Department as a Mental Health Specialist for 4 years. She also worked at an herbal store downtown and studied botanical medicine extensively. Dr. Grisez recognizes that each person is unique and presents with individual health concerns. She specializes in an individualized approach to treatment using what works best for each person. Diet and nutrition advice, custom herbal formulas, constitutional and acute homeopathic remedies, lifestyle counseling, and prescription medications are some of the tools utilized to facilitate wellness for an individual. She provides medical care for the entire family including annual women’s exams, physicals, well child checks, sports physicals, and diagnostic testing and imaging. Other activities she enjoys are telemark and Nordic skiing, hiking, gardening, biking and boating.
